no comments and no favs? damn, dont know what to say. i really like this one. browsing through loads of stuff and it jumped out. i think the colour edit really suits it, suits to the drama, small explosion in the centre but large scale after effects spreading throughout. going in my book anyway, nice one
This explosion was called "King". It was droped in 1952 which yielded 500 Kilotons. Awefully big for a weapon at the time considering that this explosion was about 40 times more powerful than anything ever droped during WWII.
I'm a huge nuclear fan but not insane. As destructive as nulcear weapons are. I find old photographs and films of these explosions quite beautiful to look at.
Sadly, even after the end of the 'cold war' these weapons are still a serious threat to our world.
